So I decided to quit smoking. I have smoked since I was 18 (way way long ago) and except for a brief 1 week spell a few years back, I have been smoking for a pack a day.
When I started to join these fun runs a few weeks back, I have decided to be healthier. And with my impending 21km run on February (hopefully I can post something then) I felt my lungs needed a break.
So I decided to quit cold turkey on January 1, 9am Manila time.
Yesterday was tough. I was salivating for a light since around 3am. At 9am, I almost couldn't take it. Good thing I was at the gym and it was time for my 30min run. The adrenaline/endorphin kicked in. I survived.
